Dr. Phillip Maxwell
Dr. Phillip Maxwell is President of the Alabama State Chiropractic Association and has 29 years experience in the field of Chiropractic. Dr. Maxwell was born and raised in the Tennessee Valley, a native of Florence, Alabama. He attended the University of North Alabama and went on to Palmer University of Chiropractic in Davenport, Iowa where he received his doctorate in Chiropractic. After graduating he served an associateship with Gulf Coast Chiropractic in the Mobile Bay area. Opening his Decatur practice in 1990, Dr. Maxwell and his professionally trained staff have now enjoyed serving the people of the Tennessee Valley for over 25 years. Dr. Maxwell is very active in his community. He is a past board member of Morgan County Volunteer Center; Advisory board member of Calhoun Community College; past board member of Big Brother, Big Sister of Morgan County; past President of the Mental Health Association.
Dr. Maxwell holds a Certificate of Attainment, 1986 from the National Board of Chiropractic Examiners. He holds a license in the states of Alabama and Mississippi. While attending Palmer, Dr. Maxwell received certification in Sports Injuries, Extremity Adjusting, Gonstead, Thompson, Nimmo, Logan, PST, Palmer Package and Palmer Upper Cervical. He regularly attends post-graduate seminars to equip himself with the latest Chiropractic advancements. Dr. Maxwell is President of the Alabama State Chiropractic Association, President of the Tennessee Valley Chiropractic Society, member of the Alabama Chiropractic Society, American Chiropractic Association, and the Mississippi Chiropractic Association. He serves on the Governmental Affairs Committee, Alabama Insurance Committee, Workman’s Compensation Committee and the HIPPA Compliance Committee. He believes in his work and is committed to his profession and community.
